Hey, I'm Lara!

I'm a visual development artist, art director, award-winning author, and storyteller from Spain, based in London, UK.

I specialise in bringing concepts and ideas to life, with a special focus on environments, colour keys, and style exploration/ development. I’ve worked across different industries and disciplines - from animation to videogames, to publishing, to content creation and teaching - which has grounded and honed my storytelling skills as a common denominator, giving me a broader view and understanding of style versatility, project limitations & opportunities, and target audiences.

As an artist, I drive my storytelling from the small joys I perceive around me, nature (water bodies and forests especially), history, beautiful shapes, life experiences and emotions, and atmospheric colours. I have a special attachment to anything that feels nostalgic, analogue, and relatable. Off-set, collage, textures, and anything that feels physical and potentially imperfect are details I always aim to implement in my work, bringing in a unique graphic style.
